Footsteps Mega Store
The birth of United Investment’s Mega Store in October of 2012 was based on the vision of an indigenous department store for the Guyana market. In order to bring this vision to reality, United brought five-core retail operations together under one roof.
Located on one of the most highly trafficked areas of Georgetown, on the Eastern side of Regent and Camp Streets, Mega Store became the first contemporary shopping center in Guyana offering Guyanese consumers a total shopping experience. Its innovative design is six floors in height, covers 58,000 square feet, and is recognized as a skyscraper for the Georgetown municipality. Four levels are dedicated to shopping; one floor is allocated to administration and office space, leaving the rooftop for Gravity Lounge.
One of Mega Store’s key tenants is Home & Beyond, offering consumers a wide range of household products, appliances, and electronics as well as furniture. Mega Store offers a full range of services, including, a children’s department; pharmacy; toy and stationery department; cell phone department; and on its first floor, the leading footwear retailer and distributor in the country, Footsteps.
